Today I tried ascending the Phylotree from my starting point which is H5'36 up to the top which I suppose to be Eve. I compared these results with my FTDNA results. After one step I was at H, so this tree should apply to all in this Forum. I couldn't explain why the Phylotree had A15301G! and T182C! where I didn't have those results from FTDNA. My understanding is that ! refers to a reversion. I can only guess that FTDNA doesn't report reversions the same way. Or perhaps there is not a way to determine a reversion using this test.

Could anyone explain the discrepancy?

A15301G is one of the defining mutations for L2'3'4'6 (which is ancestral to N) and then there was a reversion A15301G! at N. So N is identical to the RSRS at 15301 (they both habe a A at this marker) and so no results are shown at this marker for anyone in N.

I'll take a look at your results when I get home tonight and send a follow-up email.

Thanks Gail,

I see now (I think). The C182T reverted to T182C! and the G15301A reverted to A15301G!. So everyone has 4 extra mutations than what is reported. And it isn't reported because after mutating forward and backwards, 182 and 15301 look like they never mutated at all.
