I was hoping someone would be able to help me make more sense out of my results. It's a lot for me to sift through and maybe someone with more knowledge can help me to understand it, but what I get from 23andMe and GEDmatch runs is that my background is various African groups, various European groups, some Native American and on a few runs a noticeable (4-5%) Red Sea/South West Asian score.

TIA guys and apologies about the hunk of text (photo uploader wasn't working with me on all the images)

If I'm correct, those are the expected results for African-Americans.

You are predominately African with a substantial amount of European, trace amounts of Native American and possibly Asian. I believe the North African is part of your European ancestry, due to the Islamic conquering of Spain. For example, my family has been in Europe and Quebec for as long as anyone can remember (until the immigrations to America) and I have 1% North African in me.

Thanks Erik, I was wanting to see what credence I could give to the population matching; if there was any stronger affiliation with a particular ethnic group (best I can judge would be French west Africa) as well as for the European portion since my maternal grandfather is unknown. From the results I would guess north European(England-Denmark) maybe with some southern European(italy/spain/greece).

Based on your first World9 oracle value: 1 86.8% Bantu_N.E. (HGDP) + 13.2% Swedish (Dodecad) @ 0.53
I used Dodoma, Tanzania (-6.173056, 35.741944) for the N.E. Bantu language area, and Stockholm, Sweden (59.329444, 18.068611) for the opposite cline endpoint.
The difference in latitude and longitude of the endpoints was: 65.5, 17.7
Then I found the 86.8% values of that difference: 56.9, 15.4
and subtracting that from the Stockholm coordinate, getting 2.4 (N), 33.5 (E).
If I had used the 2nd oracle line: 2 86.8% Bantu_N.E. (HGDP) + 13.2% Norwegian (Dodecad) @ 0.54, it would have shifted the result westward, and perhaps slightly northward. The headwaters of the Congo (say Uganda) is your hot spot.

PS: post your gedmatch oracle admixture runs in the mapping admixture results thread to get a second opinion. http://www.anthrogenica.com/showthread.php?1778-Mapping-Your-Location-(GEDmatch-calculators)
