Why I do not recommend DNA tribes

I would like to talk about why I do not recommend DNA tribes.

First of all, DNA tribes is overpriced for a basic autosomal test. You can get much higher quality tests from Ancestry, 23andme and FTDNA.

Second of all, DNA tribes only tests for ethnicity. If you are looking for genetic relatives and you purchase DNA tribes, you are out of luck. DNA tribes only offers ethnicity related information.

Thirdly, DNA tribes gives ethnicity estimates that are just incorrect. Sure, no DNA test is even near perfect but you know it's terrible when it considers someone of mixed Ashkenazi, Sephardic and Slavic blood as Basque (adamddang on this site). I've watched some YouTube videos about DNA tribes results and it said that a girl of mixed European ancestry was Arabian.

So, please do not get DNA tribes and spend your money on better tests.

DNA tribes is pretty poor, i got to transfer my autosomal data for analysis by DNA tribes at a reduced price. The only bit that was close to accurate was the heat map, but that was pretty vague.
