Bedouins and Native Americans, who are quite similar in many ways but also different, have a culture that is rooted in being in tune with nature and the environment around them. Thus most Bedouins feel close to Native Americans, despite being a culturally and racially different people. Also to the Bedouins, who are one of the most marginalized and oppressed groups in the Middle East, they look to the Native Americans to have a similar plight. Like the Native Americans the Bedouins were often forced into heavy assimilation by the various governments in the Middle East. What is also striking is the Bedouin art and it's similarity to that of the Native Americans. The American-Syrian Bedouin artist Sama Warah has done amazing pieces that shows the artistic intermarriage between the two cultures.

Some of her amazing and admirable work:

You know it is rather interesting. I've looked at this a few times now. But the claimed Bedouin art looks quite different than what I've seen at actual semi & nomadic Bedouin camps.

Had no idea they were so similar.
