After scanning a few of the blogs relevant to admixture analysis, there appears to be some confusion on the definition of distance in Single and Mixed Mode population sharing results. A few have interprated it as a percentage deviation from zero. For example, under this interpretation a distance of 5.5 would mean 94.5% simiilar to the subject's DNA. Personally, I do not believe this to be the correct definition.
Maybe, a few members more knowledgeable on distance can give the precise definition of distance for the benefit of everyone.
