Hi All,
Wanted to post this, although I'm sure you're all aware of it :)

Here's the BBC report:

And finally a very recent explanatory PDF on their research site:
http://www.peopleofthebritishisles.org/nl6.pdf
What caught my eye from an L513 viewpoint is the fact there are two distinct Scottish/N Irish groupings: one with N Ireland and West Scotland; one with N Ireland and S Scotland/N England. They considered this noteworthy. I'm sure L513 folks are in that mix. This passage from the PDF interested me, but struck me as a bit too generalistic:
"The split in the Northern Ireland group, one with the Scottish highlands and the other with the lowlands, suggests association with the people of Dalriada and with the Picts, respectively, a separation of clans that existed around 600 AD."
Lots to chew over, I'd love to hear some thoughts.
Jon
