Dear members,
This section is here to provide genetics and anthropology enthusiasts looking to raise awareness of important projects or kits requiring funding with a means of doing so. To retain full civility and section quality, the following stipulations will always apply both in the general area and sub-sections:
1. Members are required to post a reason explaining why crowdfunding for a desired kit is advantageous to the genetic genealogy community, be it elaborate or simple.
2. Members should refrain from seeking crowd-funding for personal kits or tests unless there is exceptional justification for doing so. What constitutes as valid is entirely at the discretion of the administration.
3. Section 3.10 of the Terms of Service (ToS) (http://www.anthrogenica.com/faq.php)will be exceptionally enforced. Any of the behaviours expressed in section 3.10, or those deemed to be equivalent by the administration (e.g. repeat bumping of a crowd-funding proposal for a kit), will be handled appropriately and without warning. A reminder of what this section states for everyone's consideration:
3.10 Certain standards of quality-control will be enforced to ensure a productive forum atmosphere. Breaches in basic forum etiquette include but are not limited to cross-posting different threads, consecutive posting in existing threads, or reviving old threads whose course of discussion has long since expired ("necro-bumping"). If a user feels they may have made such a mistakes, they are expected to contact a moderator for assistance.
This area will hopefully give those project members yearning to shine some much-needed spotlight on special kits with a means of doing so, thus allowing the community to drive forward with our collective enterprises. Thanks all for your cooperation.
