Big Y results have clarified the positioning of Z2186, which was previously thought to be phylogenetically equivalent to L1066 and Z2183. It is now clear that Z2186 is upstream from these two SNPs, but downstream from Z2185.
Z2186 has at least three branches: L1066 (aka CTS1202), CTS3849 and BY2744 (aka A2298 aka FGC3297). CTS3849 is probably a recurrent SNP below L21 but at present looks to be a reliable marker of a small branch of Z2186.
The BY2744 branch appears likely to be large. It includes five Big Y testers, whose results have provided a tree structure: BY2744>BY2848>BY2760. BY2760 divides into three terminal branches, each with four or five private SNPs and each with the surname Duncan. Based on STR results, it is likely that a number of other Duncans are BY2760+. There is also a Bridgnell who is BY2848+ BY2760-, and a Powell who is BY2744+ BY2848-. There are a number of other Powells who are likely to be BY2744+ as well.
These results show the advantage of NGS tests such as Big Y in discovering new branches and positioning known SNPs more precisely.

I've noticed in the L21, CTS1751 group, ( page 4 of L21 Project results) kit 91802, Weeks, who was previously shown to be L195+, is now shown as R-Z2186.
Do you think he fits into your group better than the CTS1751 men?, and that his previous L195 results was not reliable.
