This forum thread (http://www.anthrogenica.com/showthread.php?5770-Unusual-Q-in-Poland) discusses an extremely unusual Polish yDNA Q, kit 434198 (Ysearch 5SPJF (http://www.ysearch.org/search_view.asp?uid=5spjf&viewuid=5SPJF&p=1)). At 12 markers, his only exact match is a confirmed Q-M3 (i.e., Native American patrilineage). At 37 markers, his nearest neighbors are very distant (GD 11), but are confirmed Q-Z780 (also Native American patrilineage, but different from Q-M3). His patrilineage is not actually Native American, of course, but may have a TMRCA of 15,000 ybp with Native American Q.

This man can only afford $150 toward his Big Y. I myself will personally contribute $100. If the presumed upcoming holiday discount sale reduces the Big Y's price below $500, can we possibly raise the rest of the money? All I need right now are pledges via post or PM. When sufficent funds have been pledged, I can order the test (as project administrator) and inform donors, who would then fulfill their pledges via contribution to the Polish Project.

Larry I'm in. I can't send you a pm right now. My inbox is full and I'm on my phone. I'll send you one later. Can you please put a link in here to donate to the Polish Project? Thanks.

Here is a hyperlink to the Polish Project contribution page (https://www.familytreedna.com/group-general-fund-contribution.aspx?g=Polish), administered by FTDNA and PayPal. A PayPal account is not required--you can use a credit card directly. To do so: When you are presented with the PayPal login page, look instead for the word "Continue" next to the credit card logos. That will bring up a page for entering credit card information directly.

That's likely due to it approaching 4 years old...

Bulgarian DNA project is also collecting donations for 2 haplogroup Q Big Y tests. This is important in view that an Old Bulgar from 9th century was found with the haplogroup Q1a2a. For now we have already collected for one, but are up to $180 for the second. Any donations until the end of FTDNA sale will be appreciated.
