This forum thread (http://www.anthrogenica.com/showthread.php?5770-Unusual-Q-in-Poland) discusses an extremely unusual Polish yDNA Q, kit 434198 (Ysearch 5SPJF (http://www.ysearch.org/search_view.asp?uid=5spjf&viewuid=5SPJF&p=1)). At 12 markers, his only exact match is a confirmed Q-M3 (i.e., Native American patrilineage). At 37 markers, his nearest neighbors are very distant (GD 11), but are confirmed Q-Z780 (also Native American patrilineage, but different from Q-M3). His patrilineage is not actually Native American, of course, but may have a TMRCA of 15,000 ybp with Native American Q.
This man can only afford $150 toward his Big Y. I myself will personally contribute $100. If the presumed upcoming holiday discount sale reduces the Big Y's price below $500, can we possibly raise the rest of the money? All I need right now are pledges via post or PM. When sufficent funds have been pledged, I can order the test (as project administrator) and inform donors, who would then fulfill their pledges via contribution to the Polish Project.
