CTS10893 appear9ing twice in FTDNA SDNP tree?

As I was browsing the R1B SNP tree at FTDNA, I saw CTS10893 deep n the U106 tree under FGC7559 but also deep in P312 under CTS4299?

Is this a mistake or is there something fundamental about the placement of SNPs or their nomenclature I don't understand yet? This SNP is of personal interest as I have tested negative for it, but positive for FGC7559.

CTS10893 is a recurrent SNP, occurring independently in both places. The U106 variety is older and more common.

So this is precisely the same mutation at the same spot on the Y-Chromosome that happened independently in 2 lines of descent. This means that testing single SNPs can be misleading and should be avoided, a SNP is always best compared with other SNPs for context.
