FTDNA's official documentation includes S5520 in the R1b-Z156 SNP Pack. Kit 134946 received an R-Z156* result from that SNP pack. He phylogenetically needs an S5520 result, but that SNP is shown in blue ("Test Available") on his haplotree.

You are correct S5520 is not reporting back from the Z156 SNP pack. I'll send a note off to Carlos at FTDNA to see what can be done to address the couple of Z156 pseudo * results. Since we do not have any identified equivalents at that level we may be stuck with a non-reportable result for that specific level.

You can view the lack of response using a U106 specific SNP viewer tool that is under development at http://paluszewski.dk/SNPviewer/

S5520 was included in the Pack ? I had been classified as Z156 by FTDNA for quite sometime when I bought their Z156 PACK. After my results came back, they advised me to order the S5520 test, so I did. In my list of TESTS TAKEN I am S5520-. Now I'm thinking I took the same test twice.

Sounds like it. There are also a number of SNPs downstream from S5520 which is very old. If it was me, I would contact FTDNA and request them to re-run your Z156 pack due to their error and refund your S5520 costs. It is likely that you have further mutations downstream of S5520 that are included in the Z156 pack. Good luck!

Mailman, Thanks for the advice. I'll pursue the re-run angle.
