J1/J2 Map

^Very interesting map thank you for sharing. I think that both J1 and J2a probably originated in the same area or very close to each other in Eastern Anatolia or Mesopotamia and then spread out in all different directions from there.

Completely agree with the overall positioning, not so sure that the focal zones of J1 and J2 were so close to the Mediterranean. I take that aspect of the positioning was arbitrary?

The diversity of J2a in terms of subclades is, as far as my reading permits, greater in the region encompassed by Anatolia, Iraq and Iran rather than the Mediterranean coastline.
