Okay are there any U6a's out there?
I see mention of others in droves, yet hardly any U6a posts.
I am wondering a few things.
a) if u6a what is the relative's geographical "lineage" if you would.
b) if you use gedmatch what is your most predominant distant "population". Mine is mostly Iberian / Spanish which given where u6a pops up makes more than enough sense.
c) if u6a are there any genetic "populations" that don't make sense. There's a bit of what I'd consider older (and in some cases even to some degree, isolated) populations - given human migration - in the gedmatch & genographic project results.

According to 23andMe I am U6a7 and 5.7pc Iberian on my Ancestry Composition.
I also get certain Iberian readings on Gedmatch after my main one.

Thanks, unfortunately, that person doesn't match our HVR1/R2 mutations in the slightest.

Cascio, have you also done autosomal DNA testing and if so, is your kit on GEDmatch?
Thanks,
Jack
