I'm not.
I think it sucks.
Several of my accounts have lost over a thousand matches, each,as well.
Good thing I downloaded files several times before they cut our throats.
Looks to me like they really don't want genealogy folks around.
What say you?

In the forums I prefer the old layout visually but the posting has improved, and the threads work better, such as you go to the last post you read, rather than having to scroll through pages etc. There are some improvements.

I have not yet been moved over, so I don't know what the layout will be like for results, or what sharing will be like.

Geneology was never at the forefront like at Ancestry, and I think for some people, they never got over that and keep wanting 23andme to be Ancestry. It is not the same. Can you use 23andme for geneology, of course. It is just not the same set up.
It also seems to me the family tree heavy folks don't care as much about ethnicity results. That is interesting to me and I am dissapointed there is a lack of a chromomse browser on Ancestry, so I cannot see where Ancestry is giving me what ethnicity and what background I am matching others on. Showing me that so and so is 25percent this and 14 percent that does not help if I cannot see where it is and how we match. The Ancestry is best crowd seems not to care about that and is focused solely on trees. Yes, trees are good but they are not all some of us want to know.

I am not content with the "progress" at any of the testing companies.

There are a number of scientist at 23andme that may be unhappy.

23andMe Has Given Up On Next-Generation Sequencing
Genetics startup 23andMe has let go of a team of scientists and a top executive as it has stopped pursuing one of the biggest technological advancements in DNA testing, BuzzFeed News has learned.
https://www.buzzfeed.com/stephaniemlee/23andme-anne-wojcicki-next-generation-sequencing?utm_term=.jej4WG4pZ#.vtmVw0VQo
“Without a doubt, we have our hands full,” Wojcicki told BuzzFeed News. “This is a whole new area. One of the things people are still figuring out with next-generation sequencing is ‘Exactly what does all that information mean?’” She added, “We spent a lot of time pursuing sequencing, and I think as we started to understand it better and better and understand the complexities, we decided to focus on our core business.”

I really miss COA too. Is there a backdoor to the old forum? Overall I prefer the old site. :(

I'm not happy either. In fact, I've lost interest in 23andMe. I hardly visit the site anymore. When I do, it is just to see if there are new DNA Relatives. Also, I don't even know where to check to see if someone has accepted my invitation. Sometimes I get an email notifying me that someone accepted my invitation, which I probably sent before being transferred to the new site. However, I go and look and see nowhere to find that person. I don't want to go page by page in order to find him/her. Also, the Forums are not as easy to navigate as the old ones. The one feature I do like is that now you can see those relatives who have accepted to be part of DNA Relatives. I forget now what they call that new feature, but I like it. I do terribly miss the COA feature. That one was extremely good and helped me keep track of some relatives ancestral countries, particularly the ones who listed four grandparents born in the same country.

Apparently reducing functionality and feature availability whilst increasing service price is not a popular tactic with customers. Take note of this please 23andme. My next dna kit will be from ftdna.

23andm has an ancestry only kit (https://www.23andme.com/dna-ancestry/) available for $99 now and it does test all of the same SNPs as the test with health data so you can always browse the raw data at 23andme or use Promethease on the raw data file. The COA is what people seem to miss the most but FTDNA doesn't have COA or the health SNPs that can be used in Promethease or the Y-DNA SNPs that 23andme has that can eliminate the need of one of the Y-DNA SNP packs if you are a male and interested in finding a terminal SNP with FTDNA SNP packs. In my opinion 23andme still has the best ethnicity calculator.

The "improved" site is a complete pile of garbage. I had my genome done in 2011 and enjoyed the health information and old site despite it's flaws.

But now I cannot recommend 23andMe to anybody. Promethease has been very helpful and I do recommend it to people.

There is a new triangulation feature on 23andme which does not require sharing your family tree, it is all by DNA. Very useful but as I only use a tablet, the visuals are odd. I wish they would make the screen for all features tablet friendly...

I like that we do not have to make a tree public to use the triangulation feature. Ancestry.com may have some uses but they force you to give up rights to your DNA and of course they will profit, with DNA tied to trees. The DNA 'circles' are for them not you. 23andme will sell your data with your permission, Ancestry.com without your permission.

It has been a while since I have accessed the site and I have not followed the forum for changes. What happened to the carrier status section?

Nevermind. I am on the V2 Chip and found the archived reports.
