James Watson was not only credited as being one of the co-discovers of the double helix structure of DNA, he was also the first individual to have his DNA sequenced.
His Y-DNA showed where he was U106>Z381>Z301>L48>Z9>Z30 but failed to give a call for Z2. It also tested negative for Z7, so we have a small area to explore.
Can anyone help me with analyzing his DNA data? The U106 Project has discovered a number of SNPs in the area between Z30 and Z7, and we would like to further refine his haplogroup.
My understanding is his DNA was formatted with an older Build rather than the current build, so would need assistance with someone who can either convert Watson's DNA to the current build (if it has not already been done) or someone who can take SNP positions with the current build and convert them to the old build to search Watson's DNA.
