just had a conversation and comparison with a descendent of Anna Bauman, carrier of mtdna K1b2a1. We differ at 4 positions, since I'm just K1b2a at the moment and have 3 other additional mutations at 825C, 8723A, 12188C. He has done an FMS with 35 mut to rCRS.

I don't have a FMS, but got 37 mut from a private lab and several versions at 23andme, including 3 nocalls.

I think, here could be a good place to collect all FMS or nearby results (23andme or other) downstream K1b2. For Valery K1b2 can be up to 11000 years old, K1b2a about 6000, so there is enough room for a lot of mutations.

K1b was identified in the graves of Eulau, about 4600 years old, although I don't know, how much they tested.

it would be nice to have here the various additional mutations, as far as they are not delicate in a medical sense.

I know, that 12188C is already waiting with two FMS for a further classification.

well, in the supplement files of the new Costa publication there is enough 12188C to make it indeed K1b2a3, as I hoped for more than a year. This was real avant-garde.

the visual way I collected in a new blog entry:

thanks! I'm fully aware, that the interest in specific haplogroups is similar to photos. Most people are only interested in their own pictures - where I am on this photo - who do I look - is it appropriate?

I'm really no exception, although I know, that no one cares about other peoples haplogroups!
