A Mesolithic Y-DNA sample from Hotu cave in the Mazandaran province of Iran has turned out to belong to Y-DNA haplogroup J2a-M410. This sample is dated to around 9100-8600 BCE apparently. Very interesting stuff!

Indeed a very interesting discovery.Actually the same study would have been much more beneficial if it included the Mesopotamian and Syrian neolithic settlements.

Genetiker has I1685 listed as being E1b1b-CTS10365 . In addition to all of the J2 SNPs that he is positive for he is also positive for a number of SNPs from other haplogroups such as E, I1 and L. Most likely this sample truly is E1b1b-CTS10365.
