This topic just interested me because my Kikuyu Great Grand father possessed these phenotypes and I just wanted to know if it is common or uncommon amongst Central Kenyans like the Kikuyu to have these pheno types, but because of the high mounted and geographical region of mount Kenya it could be common. It also came to an extent that my Grandmother insisted that my G Grandfather was 1/2 European but I was unsure about this. My g geandfathers last name is a typical Bantu name Wamushembe and from the dna tests I've taken I only show neglect able amounts of European all the merrier to disagree huh?

What colour were his eyes? You only mention ''light'' above.

His eyes were blue/hazelish and it also seems that my grandmother was born with and inherited the blue eyes so it was not because of ageing.

Thats interesting cause my paternal grandfather also has blue eyes.

Could it be an old Eurasian factor amongst some East Africans?

Tbh I thought it was his old age but I have seen his pics when he was in his early 30s he still had it and also my one uncle(my fathers first cousin) inherited it also.

Probably some random mutation or something really old considering my Grandpa is a pure Northern Somali
