I requested the Z367 SNP Pack on 6/24/2016 and found the result today at FTDNA - so it took only 5 weeks. Pretty fast, I would say.
FTDNA now gives my Haplogroup as R-CTS9733. U152+, L2+, L20+, Z367+, Z383+, Z384+, CTS9733+, YSC0000193+ . Formed 3900 ybp, TMRCA 3900 ybp.
When I look at the FTDNA Map for R-CTS9733, there is one yellow dot in southern Sweden, one in The Netherlands, one in Alsace, France, one on the border of Italy and Switzerland, one in northern Sicily, one in northern Portugal and three in England. An updated FTDNA map for R-CTS9733 is here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1Gfb-dABIcHkA27JbIgec2snf2Ew&hl=en_US
I am certain that my oldest known ancestor, Thomas Mylam, - first found on the frontier of Virginia in Orange County in 1738 - was from Great Britain. David Hackett Fischer's Albion's Seed suggested the south and southwest of England were the major source of immigrants to Virginia at that time .
Does anyone know more about the ancestral origin of R-CTS9733 ?? Thanks a lot for any info.
