As of this week, FTDNA categorized my Y haplo as J - L1021 (FGC2857) which falls under the J2a tree. I am trying to find more on my paternal line, the furthest back I have is my great grandfather Hamdollah Zanjani who was born in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and removed to Mashhad and then later Tehran, Iran in the 1910-1925 period. His admixture seems to include Azeri, Turk and possibly Jewish Shepardic ancestors. Anyone know the most accurate (possible) admixture which might help clarify a little better? With FTDNA we have no matches above 12 (111 test taken) markers and my Big Y test has no close matches either. I've also taken the full Y Genome test which imported into FTDNA. Thanks!
