So a native Irish speaker from Kerry Gaeltacht was told by his employer in Cork that he wasn't to speak to other staff in Irish, only in Ireland ;)

It is just nonsensical to ban the speaking of Irish anywhere in Ireland. The owner of that pub, if he really did that, has to be a jackass.
