Has anyone tried their mtComplete? Is it as good as their Y-DNA tests? I wonder if they send an additional kit or just reuse the one I sent them for Y-DNA testing.

I 've recently pleased with their integral M343 panel for R1b (YDNA) and intend to do soon the mtComplete......

But any information about it, will be welcome

I've ordered mtComplete some time ago. It's good and no additional kit.

I received from YSEQ my results for complete sequence of MtDNA : I was T1a1 (26 SNP identified by LivingDNA) with possible downstream and I'm now once and for all T1a1* (35 SNP at least, whose 3SNP not significient) with no downstream.
Many T1a1 have extra SNP (1 to 10) more than the basis amount (32 SNP) for T1a1 (but downstream not yet caracterized )!!
Maybe something like 10-15 % of T1a1 are finally T1a1* as me.

These days it makes most sense to just do their WGS test which includes the full mtDNA sequence, I think I get a typical depth of 9000 reads. BAM plus ready .fasta file for third party uploads. Please anyone who does a full mt upload to the scientific repository at GenBank too (Ian Logan's site is very useful if you're not sure how to do it).
