similar STR with different Haplogroup B and J

i found something which i couldnt understand .. if someone help me please

in one project i notice someone from haplogroup J grouped with B-M181 persons
i see that he is very similar to haplogroup B STR .. but his SNP testing show him as J-Z599
any explanation for this ??

That is why str based hg predictions are not the most accurate ones, especially with low markers.

Whats intersting is that this is not low STR markers
They are 111 markers and 9 g.d at 111 if i am not mistaken so they are a match based on STR
I cannot understand how they are in different haplogroups

As always FTDNA is making confusion with some recurrent SNPs. They are both haplogroup B but M8844 is also Z599+, so there's an error in the classification there.
