Can YSEQ 37 marker scores be transferred to FTDNA? If so, what's the procedure?

Unfortunately, the answer (at least for now) is no. FTDNA allows Genographic results to be transferred, since they are the ones who are actually doing the testing. In addition, they also allow autosomal DNA results to be transferred, as they feel it may lead to increased orders.

From a business standpoint, I don't believe it makes sense for FTDNA to transfer Y-STR results.

The above being said, some projects may create their own database of STR & SNP results, or may otherwise use results from various labs. For example, the R-U106 Haplogroup Project does place folks into clades based on test results from other companies (such as YSEQ and Full Genomes). The process is fairly labor intensive, and certainly has its drawbacks, but it does allow folks the freedom to choose where they want to test.

Thanks for that. I've just heard FTDNA only accept Sorenson-based lab testees into the fold.
