J Man's Paternal Grandfather's Autosomal GEDmatch Results

Here are my paternal grandfather's autosomal results from the GEDmatch calculators. After all he is the one who gave me my Y-chromosome haha :). I think he looks quite typical for a person with all of his ancestry from the Mediterranean. As far as I know he is of 100% Italian ancestry from the Calabria region. It is interesting to note that on a Eurogenes K36 PCA map that a member of The Apricity Forum created he lies a bit to the east and south of the other Southern Italians that are on the map. I think he may have a few rather different features in his DNA that pull him to the east and south compared to other Southern Italians. Anyways here are his results below. Does he look pretty typical for someone from Calabria I wonder?

Wow this is good timing lol. My grandfather, uncle and father just got a new match on 23andme who I am now communicating with and my grandfather is predicted to be 3rd cousins with her! My grandfather and uncle both share a large 34.3 cM segment at the very end (telomere?) area of chromosome 6 with her. My grandfather, uncle and father all each also share a 8.9 cM segment with her on chromosome 9. And again they all share a 13.0 cM segment with her on chromosome 22. Again my grandfather and uncle share another one at the telomere area of chromosome 5 for around 12.0 cM and my grandfather then again shares one on chromosome 1 with her for 10.3 cM. Definitely looks like a relative! She has also told me that her Italian side comes from the Cosenza Province in Calabria! :D
