Thats interesting, firemonkey. Have you done any FTDna Y testing? I'm curious if there's a Gatty Surname Project to see if you're a part of that branch of Gatty's.

Yes that is interesting, wonder when they arrived from Italy? Did not realize you had a Cornish connection.

I've done Big Y. I've got 2 matches(Not Gatty) with furthest ancestor from Cornwall. Unfortunately there isn't a Gatty surname project on FTDNA.

The Gattys were first found in Cornwall circa late 15th C. Unfortunately I've only traced my Gatty line back to a 4th great that was married at Liverpool in 1810. My father has an autosomal match to someone with a female Gatty relative born 1703/4(Can't remember which exactly) from Cornwall .

Looks like he just added a USD PayPal link on his website today -- he's charging $17 even.

    Further to the IT_Bolzano results.

    I had my father's done

This is from thread at Apricity.

What is in Proto-Germanic cluster has very high North Dutch, but when you look at components there have very high North-Sea -40-50%, not seen among modern people. But it was encountered among Baiuvarii or Longobards if you remember my PCA with them.

I find this highly interesting. With reference to https://www.theapricity.com/forum/sh...35#post5718035 quoted comments above and my father's results.

Just received my chromosome analysis from Lukasz. Apparently I'm quite British/Irish as per chromosomes on the PCA but have some minor "exotic" for my ancestry with one Slavic, one North Italian and one Iberian.
