    Is there a need for Basal Eurasian now?

    I'm asking in relation to some comments by Chad.
    Could the Basal necessitated by Fu et al. based on the finding that ancient Euros were nearer to Ust-Ishim than modern Euros are be an artifact of admixture with Ust-Ishim or a proxy like Goyet 116-1? Would the fact that Fu didn't account for ANE being an admixture change anything?
