    LivingDNA compared to GEDmatch

    Now that LivingDNA have integrated withe Gedmatch Genesis, you can look up your admixture under all of Gedmatch's models.

    I'll go first:

    I am from Southern Russia (Cossack country south of Rostov on Don)

    Living DNA (updated today)

    Europe 97%

    Northeast Europe 67.9
    Finland 8.4
    Tuscany 5.9 weird
    South Italy 2.1 weird
    Germanic 5.8
    Scandinavia 1.5
    England and Wales (wtf?) 2.9 Literally impossible.

    Unassigned 5.5

    Strange that my West Asian (I assume this is Caucasian - Georgian, Chechen etc) does not appear in Livingdna.

    Genesis with LivingDNA puts me as West Scottish which does match with LivingDNA (even though I'm Irish) and it also matches me with Orkney. I had the least amount of DNA attributed to Orkney according to LivingDNA. Danish and Norwegian come before any results from England and I have no match with the Welsh. Actually I don't think that Wales can be a results. I'd imagine that it would come above South Polish as my 20th result.

    Out of curiosity I did Eurogenes K13 with my Ancestry DNA and here are the results:

    In the case of the Ancestry sample, Orcadian is down to number 6. Norwegian is my third highest compared to fifth with the DNA sample. It also identifies me as Irish. In the mixed mode for the LivingDNA the only option as highest was West Scottish while with Ancestry there were 13 Irish and 7 West Scottish.

    It's interesting that there can be variation between the two samples like that.

    While my ancestry and 23andme kits have their differences, they do both look like the stats of the same person. My Living DNA numbers don't really resemble the other two as closely, in some Gedmatch calculators they look like a different person altogether, despite the similarities.
    On a Living DNA facebook group David Nicholson posted about the raw data: "the next version will be having X data in it which will be July. We will update the files to have this." Would the lack of X data be affecting our oracle results? I'm assuming they would be but since I don't know for sure I figured I'd ask.

    SNPs used in the evaluation:
    Ancestry: 173922 SNPs used
    23andme: 181540 SNPs used
    Living DNA: 59555 SNPs used... less than half the other two!

    Yes it appears Welsh doesnt appear in Eurogenes, although Cornish does lol

    I'm not sure if you're messaging me but I think I'm the only one that mentioned Welsh. I tried MDLP K16 (not sure if this is the right calculator). It doesn't make much sense to me though.
