Map of Indo-Iranic languages and dialects. Although in Russian, the map is quite accurate. Take a look at diversity of dialects in Pamir mountains (Tajikistan). At least 9 dialects I counted.

The Tajiks are underrepresented in Uzbekistan in this map. They should be a bigger demographic in Southern Uzbekistan.

As far as I know Tajiks mainly live in cities of Bukhara and Samarkand(south-eastern Uzbekistan) which is indicated on the map. Other regions too? Which ?

That's south-eastern Uzbekistan bordering Tajikistan. It seems Fergana valley also has a sizable population of Tajiks. It is also on the map indicated by 'VI'.

That's a LOT of East Asian and much lower European than I was expecting. The Tajiks on nmonte are as much as 45% steppe so that's surprising. Do you have any information about the exact origins of this Tajik? Or at least if it was from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, or Afghanistan?
