Anyone heard of this dna ancestry company? In a few blogs they are rated number one, but never heard of them.

Are there sample reports online to get an idea of what their autosomal reports offer? I can't find anything.

Don't know. Anyway, with 640.000 snps I cannot imagine how that could be better than the others. Only business.

This fragment shows they don't know what they are talking about:

Also keep in mind that the complex anthropological history of human migration can allow for someone of European descent, whose family has been in Europe for centuries and only intermingled with other Europeans, to have some ancestry from the other haplogroups around the globe. Such a person could have up to 10% Indigenous American BioGeographical Ancestry, despite having a family history of never setting foot in the Americas.
So it means somebody can have 10% of Amerindian Y-DNA or mtDNA according to them ?

Yea, I have never heard of them, yet some blogs and reviews are claiming its better than other autosomal tests. Thought I would clarify here before buying something that doesn't deliver.

That is odd that they don't show a sample report on their website... and for 97 dollars I'd rather try out 23 and Me as my next test.

So in other words, this method is utilized in his sites autosomal test? By looking at rare markers shared only in certain populations? Could that explain why the amount of markers tested are alot lower given its focus on very rare genetic variants? That would make the test beneficial no?

It also gives clue they use those population (from 1000 Genomes) for comparison probably.
