Dealing with 'not determined' Y SNPs

Will I have to get a different male to test, or can I just test at a different company other than 23andme to be able to get the results of a 'not determined' YSNP?

What is the significance of the undetermined SNP? Unless it's a leaf node, you can infer the status using a Y DNA tree.

If you want a more recent grouping, you'd want to consider more testing. YSEQ.net and FTDNA have reasonably priced packages that can pickup where 23andMe left off.

You definitely have to test with another company. I posted a reply about the haplogroups that you are interested in here
