Do we have a reliable haplogroup comparison between hungarians and szekely?
Of all the countries, this is possibly the most beautiful. All that is beautiful and can be rarely seen in
other countries can be seen everywhere here... Here live the people who wear the cleanest clothes and prepare the
most flavorful dishes... Of all of God’s servants, the local people are the most compassionate and merciful...

The remains belonging to Béla III (HU3 and HU52 are derived for R-Z2125 (R1a1a1b2a2a). The R-Z2125 haplogroup is common in northeastern Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and southern Kazakhstan and to a lesser extent in the Volga Ural region, the Caucasus and Iran (Fig. 1) [35]. We could further derive the Árpád Dynasty lineage based on SNPs defining R-Y2632, R-Y20746, R-Y2633, and 16 SNPs associated with haplogroup R-SUR51 (Figs. 2 and 3, Table S5) [13, 14, 16, 36, 37].
There is a link between the Y-haplogroup of BélaIII. and the Xiongnu R-Z2125 (R1a1a1b2a2a).

This haplogroup was present among Huns,Avars and Hungarian conquerors too.

Z2125 is around 5000-6000 years old and was in the Xiognu period already present from Ukraine to South Asia. I am not saying there is no connection between Arpad and Xiognu R-Z2125 but only deeper testing of Xiognu lines can prove or disprove that.

Arpad may also have inherited it from Scythians / Sarmatians, which would match the origin of the Magyars in the Urals, although there is also a connection between Scythians / Sakas and Xiongnu, but as you said, we need a deeper test
