I got pretty much the same percentage of North Sea on this cal as with eurogenes k36.
You have more Neanderthal variants than 86% of 23andMe customers.
However, your Neanderthal ancestry accounts for less than 4% of your overall DNA.

Yes, it's difficult to picture exactly where you're situated. I agree that in the other one you were closer to Basques. I'm not sure how to explain the higher Germanic. I know that my father has high north sea in K36 and it's his highest component here as well. I still feel that it might not be as accurate for people with ancestry from opposite regions. My dad is clearly an outlier, which tells me that there's probably admixture from opposite extremes.

Sorta, I was too distracted with the ads.

Yes, he gets East Asian, Siberian and Amerindian. According to our paper trail all of his ancestors were from France, but probably a mix of regions.

These are his top 5 admixtures in K13. Does your dad get something similar? Also, his genetic distances are huge compared to my mother's.

    Mixed Mode Population Sharing:

    # Primary Population (source) Secondary Population (source) Distance
    1 70.4% Spanish_Valencia + 29.6% Southwest_Finnish @ 5.82
    2 74.4% Spanish_Valencia + 25.6% La_Brana-1 @ 5.83

    4 70.1% Spanish_Murcia + 29.9% Southwest_Finnish @ 6
    5 74.1% Spanish_Valencia + 25.9% Finnish @ 6.03

That is interesting for somebody from France.

    8 65.3% Spanish_Castilla_La_Mancha + 34.7% Tatar @ 3.6

    Somewhat similar acctually!

Thanks for sharing that! It's practically the same, but your dad's secondary populations are slightly more eastern (Chuvash). I really think there's something missing in our genealogy. Unless, some of his recent ancestors were from the south of France and some from the extreme north. We're French from Canada, so it's possible they were recorded as being from one region, but we don't know where their parents were from.

Yes. I think my fathers results fits well with family history. I think they lack Finnish/Saami samples. And North Italian as well obviously.
I guess your father must have some recent Scandinavian ancestor from the northern parts. That is pretty much the only solution.

Based on paper trail, most of his lines are from the West coast of France. Some distant lines in Provence and the southwest. Nothing from the extreme east... I'm wondering if the East Asian could be shifting his map more east than normal.
