    U5b1b1 in Britain

    Does anyone have this haplogroup that can trace there maternal line back to the uk or have any further information about it?

    U5b1b1 is estimated to be about 7500 years old and is very widely distributed across Europe and is also found in Africa. There are at least 12 members of the FTDNA U5 project from England and Ireland who are U5b1b1. If you tested the full mtDNA sequence you can join the U5 project and I'll compare your results to others in the project.
