    L664 in England

Hi all!! I have just tested with YSEQ and found out I am R1a1a-L664. They are currently testing further down-streams so I will find out soon what subclade I am.

Is L664 the proto Germanic HG?

Welcome to the club. We are rather rare, aren't we. If you tested with FTDNA, I hope you join the R1a project. I'm kit number 54319 on the chart of results. My R1a-L664 is of Norwegian extraction.

G'day, i'm from Australia and have come up as R1a-L664 From England, I only know my Great Grandfather was born here in Oz. I don't have much of an idea how it all works, but I understand it's quite a rare strain. I'm currently undergoing Big Y at Ft dna to find out more. Hope someone here can help me Decypher it all. Cheers.

I, too, belong to an R1a-L664 subclade from my Big Y results at Family Tree -- BY30527. I had hoped to find an origin for my 3rd great grandfather who was born in New Jersey (possibly) in 1770. I initially thought the rarity of my results would make this a snap -- boy, was I wrong!

I and my group were also R1a- YP358. Through YFull we have been sorted to a number of downstream subclades. Current subclade is R-YP362* but one of my private variants has now been named so maybe I will get my own subclade. We think our MRCA came from England to N America but have not been able to find where in England.

A little update on my earlier post, but I just received my son's Big Y-500 results, and the two of us have been moved downstream to a new haplogroup -- R-Y61291. Thus far, it is now the exclusive address of the family of my mysterious 3rd great grandfather, Abraham Brown of colonial New Jersey and later of Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. We've sent the results to YFull to see what else they can find.

Where is this, Curtis? I'm not seeing it. We're waiting for results from a new Big Y-700 test taken by a cousin who is descended from one of my great-great grandfather's brothers. I have also upgraded my son's Big Y-500. Could prove interesting/
