Among Pothwari's too, it is not uncommon for Chohans to intermarry with Brahmin castes such as Mohyal or Bakhshis. Even in my case, my paternal grandfathers' father was Chohan and his mother was Bakhshi Brahmin (allegedly Kashmiri, although unsure whether of Kashmiri or Punjabi origin).

Bakshi is usually a bestowed title, but it is seen frequently in Mohials.
