    Haplogroup N in Britain

    I was talking to a woman from Scotland recently and she told me that she was maternal haplogroup N going back to Kirkcudbrightshire in South western Scotland and I was wondering are there anymore With N out there that can trace there maternal Haplogroup back to Britain it seems to be very rare in native Britons? What subgroups Are you all if there are any of you out there?

    My paternal grandmother (and thus my father) were N1a1a1a2. I can only trace her maternal line to mid 1660's in Long Island. Undoubtedly she would've been from England but who knows what her ancestors were doing across the pond before she got here.
