Spencer Well's "The Journey of Man"

I've always wondered what exactly did Spencer Ware find in Zakirzhan Niyazov's markers that made him so special ...
I guess it could be something like a "native" haplogroup: R* for example. Any ideas?

That thing is pretty old (2003 for the film version, 2002 for the book). I'm guessing it's not of much use now.

Yes but, anyway, it's the concept that I want to understand. In the film he was very excited for having found "something" in this guy's genome. But he doesn't say "what". I suspected that he had a "native" haplogroup, but as far as I understand, a living person having a "native" haplogroup only means that he represents a new "child" undiscovered haplogroup after the "native" one, right? So, I don't find this fact so special ...
Tell me if I'm misinterpreting all this, please...
