    GENETICS AND I.Q

Why is it that East Asian and European have comparatively high I.Q and Central asians, South east asians, Middle Easterns, South Asian and African have low I.Q. Is it due to genetics?? For example North Koreans and South Koreans are literally the same people and have the same averge IQ, though the former is a poor and underdeveloped country while the later is a rich and developed country. It has no effect on their IQ. Here is a list of countries with respect to IQ.

I don't believe North Koreans have ever been tested, those figures were calculated by using the surrounding countries.

What about the IQ difference between White Americans and African Americans. The African Americans have significantly less IQ than white Americans. Both these races live in the same country, share the same resources, learn from the same school and still one has high IQ and the other has low IQ.

It has a alot of do with iodine rich soil (ex: food grown in iodine rich soil) and iodine rich diet, this is especially common in parts of East Asia and Northern Europe that are naturally rich in iodine soil.

Here is an experiment conducted in Central Asia back in 2006.

Similarly, on iodised salt and IQ boost in Americans, study from 2013.

Until they test EVERYONE's IQ, I wouldn't try to paint people as having a low IQ simply because a small test population tested low. There is no shortage of White Americans with low IQ too, ever been to a trailer park, a swamp, or the Appalachian mountains? Yeah...

Is there demographical uniformity with regards to these assessments of countries by IQ? Skew the demographics just a little bit and you could end up with misleading results.

Here's some better questions, are I.Q. tests an accurate metric for measuring intelligence? What is your definition of intelligence? Does I.Q. remain consistent throughout one's life or is it subject to fluctuations? If so, why? Also, are there any factors which can impact I.Q. such as education, nutrition, culture, etc.? Finally, does the scope of I.Q. testing account for competency in all cognitive faculties or only a few? If so, why?

Nature versus nurture. I have always marveled at how bees construct a hive.

One has to expect that the people who originated, and now maintain, I.Q. tests designed them to highlight their own personal capabilities and those of their children, at the expense of everyone else.

I still remember that, when I was growing up, "authorities" told us not to bother studying for I.Q. tests, or ACT and SAT tests (which at that time were designed to be, and treated as, I.Q. tests). They said that studying wouldn't help. Only years later did I learn that such advice was only for other people's children--they had quietly organized special classes for their own children, precisely to increase their scores! The authorities also told us not to bother the time and expense of re-taking the test, whereas their own children would re-take the test multiple times and submit only the highest scores on university applications. Nowadays, wealthy/powerful/famous children often declare a disability such as ADHD so that they are given extra time to complete the test.

From this we can derive one simple explanation for the Flynn effect (the steady increase in the I.Q. of tested children across the decades): Over time, parents and educators learn to emphasize the same skills that the original I.Q. test writers had (and therefore weighted most highly).
