    So if I read this correctly, Rajputs are modelled as 28% Steppe (.51 * .55), 36% "Iranian"/"Central Asian" Farmer (or forager?), admixed in two separate waves [(.27 * .49) + (.45 * .51)], and 36% ASI HG (.73 * .49)

Palliyar are 73% ASI and 27% Iranian Farmer, no steppe at all it appears.

They now define it as Indus Periphery in the paper , which is confusing because they have varying ancestries one Eastern Iranian sample is 42% AASI , the other 14% AASI ( assumed to be IVC migrants) , and one all the way in Gonur Tepe which is earlier sample is also similar to the Helmand/Jiroft sample but a bit more AASI shifted. I think getting Neolithic and Chalcolithic genomes will give a better model when they find them.

It is among certain Indo-Aryans, particularly L1a2 peoples like the Jats and Kalash as L1a2 originated in the Pamir Knot, where the BMAC was located

I also believe the BMAC are a good candidate for the Dasyu

If there are no mistakes Z2103 in Hajji_Firuz_ 5900-5500 BCE West Azerbaijan region of Iran makes my prediction that Hurrians (and Urartians later) could have had R1b-Z2103 theoretically possible.

Plenty of R2a in Ganj-Daresh Neolithic means Sumerians could have had it, at least as a minor lineage (the distance is relatively small but we will see)

A little less than 2 years ago I had written here (mostly to provoke because the reactions are often interesting) that Sumerians will have R1b too (of course not exclusively).
The R1 sample in Ganj-Daresh Neolithic maybe makes it theoretically possible. [I want at least an (xM269)]

So I'm guessing Hajji Firuz is finally confirmed to be z2103?

The hajji firuz site is known for having well preserved archaeological layers on the grave-side of the burial mound.
The R1b-M269 guy was found in the 'sub'-grave 'K10', which lied buried neatly under well documented layers we can date by looking at pottery and other finds in those layers.
Besides, his grave lied in the same burial mound as graves 'F10' and 'F11', which were the graves with the J2b samples(and those 2 are C14 dated)

Of course C14 would be a plus, but chances that the current dating is false are low, close to 0%. Unless the april fools factor plays in of course.
