PF1974, what is its source?

PF1974 is a subclade of PF1975 which in turn is a subclade of E-Z830. I've tested positive for PF-1975, from what I understand it goes back to around over 1000 years ago, its original source seems to be the ancient Middle East although the closest subclades to it belong to people who live in Armenia and Germany. I've been offered by FTDNA to try and test for PF-1974 and I've wanted to know if anyone knows more about that subclade, and truth be told, if anyone knows more about PF1975?

E-PF1975 (or E-Y20220) is a group that's been found among Ashkenazi and Italian Jews. Looks like two Sardinians have also been found under E-PF1974.
Did you already test for PF1974? If not, a more cost efficient way is to test through YSEQ. If positive, you can then test for E-PF1987, which is further dowstream and is shared among the Sardinians from the Paolo Francalacci study.

I didn't take the test for PF-1974 as of yet.. On FTDNA it costs 39$, how much would it cost on YSEQ?

Single SNP tests at YSEQ (currently) cost $18. That's why I said it's more cost efficient.
