Very strange indeed.... I show no formatting on my posts. All my posts look like everyone else's to me. Are my posts always some specific color for everyone else too?

[QUOTE=poi;536916]Okay, I just ran that model for all NW groups (apologizes if I missed some, but I can't be in front of the computer much longer -- and can't post nmonte screenshots from my mobile) but also added my group lol.

I was NOT expecting the fit distance to be that low for us... a couple of peculiar things I noted in this model:

    1) Khatri average is only getting 50% Udegram with very good fit
    2) My wife is registering real Afanasievo, plus she does not register any Gonur or SiS1 (beside what's Udegram has)! (I think I'm more interested in her genetics than mine by now)
    /QUOTE]

For the Khatri, SIS1 and the extra Gonur are basically splintered of from Udegram, SIS1 is just a more Southern and more archaic version of Gonur but with extra AASI.

Btw Khana what is the ethnicity of your uncle Khanauncle, he is by far the most similar to the Loebanr cluster. Also does he have mixed ancestry like you or is different?
KhanaUncle = "Father" = .50 Baloch + .50 Kashmiri; considering he sits where he does, I'm going to assume my paternal Grandfather was close to 100% Baloch. (If I look where the Baloch sit and where bored sits, KhanaUncle is between them dead center)

On my phone, your posts are usually in black font so I have to copy and paste on to my phone's notepad to read them. I don't recall if this sometimes happens on my PC as well.

Ok using a modern we just definitely confirmed the BMAC ancestry because the Baloch cluster close with BMAC samples and thats how most Udegram/Loebanr ones roughly model out as 40-55% BMAC related and the rest a combo of some local ancestry and Steppe.

Your id is taking Gonur1 more than SIS BA1 so is it a outlier among PunjabJat ? I still believe a BA or IA proper AASI sample might clear thing better. Using one of those AASI samples will clearly show the right mix coming into BA or in IA or later Medieval time

It's because, on that specific device you're using, you're viewing the forum with the "Blackstealth" skin. You must've accidentally selected that while scrolling up and down a given page at some point in time.

To change it, go to the very bottom of any page and click on the drop-down menu (either on the left or right). The forum default is "Bittenfruit_Fluid".

As for Sapporo's earlier comment - I used both SiSBA1 and Gonur_BA1 to distinguish between non-BMAC and BMAC-related Central Asian agriculturalist ancestry in SC and S Asians. The former is probably the best ancient proxy we have for the (originally) Iranian agriculturalist wave that arrived in the Subcontinent before the IVC's collapse.

Dzu1 would be my preference over Gonur though. Also, a reasonable proxy for West Iranian plateau-related admixture in Central Asia would be Hasanlu_IA.

Not really. I just don't see any reason to have both Gonur 1 and SIS BA1 when the ancestry of both populations is similar other than a small percentage (around 6-7%) of AASI in SIS BA1. I also prefer Gonur 1 as a BMAC proxy. However, I do understand DMXX's reasoning for using both.
