Dr. Rai mentioned around 1000BC. The calibrated date for PGW occupation phase is 1100BC. Which is also the phase where they found skeletal remains.
I remember the problem with Rakhigarhi back then was according to Niraj Rai, they couldn't recover enough DNA for a single PCR. Not sure what the deal is this time. Abhaipur does look like an early PGW occupation site, and I am not sure if we would see a genetic change early on.

"Although hundreds of skeletons from the Indus Valley have been uncovered, the region's hot climate rapidly destroys the genetic material that has been instrumental in tracing the history of other early civilizations ...

They sampled more than 60 skeletal pieces, including numerous petrous bones, before they were able to extract ancient DNA from one. Then they had to sequence the sample more than 100 times to piece together a relatively complete genome.

"There's no doubt this is the most intensive effort we've ever made to get ancient DNA from a single sample," Reich says."

There has been talk earlier on this thread or may be other threads about .."upper caste/lower caste nair", and whether the nairs of the higher echelons have more steppe influence....i am posting 4 runs done by davidski done on 3 so called nairs of the "lower rung" and a malappuram muslim...

    Target: veluthedathnair_scaled
    Distance: 2.7414% / 0.02741373
    79.0 IRN_Shahr_I_Sokhta_BA2
    6.6 Anatolia_Tepecik_Ciftlik_N
    6.2 IRN_Ganj_Dareh_N
    2.6 KAZ_Botai
    2.6 RUS_Sintashta_MLBA
    1.8 WHG
    1.2 Anatolia_Barcin_N

    Target: veluthedath nair (washerman)_scaled
    Distance: 3.8211% / 0.03821075
    76.6 IRN_Shahr_I_Sokhta_BA2
    10.6 Anatolia_Tepecik_Ciftlik_N
    3.0 RUS_Sintashta_MLBA
    2.8 TJK_Sarazm_En
    2.4 Han
    2.4 IRN_Ganj_Dareh_N
    2.2 WHG

    Target: mallapuram muslim_scaled
    Distance: 3.1706% / 0.03170594
    82.2 IRN_Shahr_I_Sokhta_BA2
    6.6 RUS_Sintashta_MLBA
    4.2 Anatolia_Tepecik_Ciftlik_N
    2.6 Han
    1.6 WHG
    1.0 MAR_Iberomaurusian
    1.0 TJK_Sarazm_En
    0.6 Dinka
    0.2 Nganassan

    Target: anthur nair( potter caste)_scaled
    Distance: 2.4650% / 0.02464952
    77.8 IRN_Shahr_I_Sokhta_BA2
    7.4 RUS_Sintashta_MLBA
    6.2 Levant_PPNB
    5.2 TJK_Sarazm_En
    3.4 Han

It is seen that the anthur nair( nairs who are potters- kumbhar, kusavan( in malayalam) has a 7.4 sintashta MLBA, which is on par with " higher" nair caste brethren, the veluthedath nair samples are not bereft of the sintashta component either....these samples need to be run with SISBA3, perhaps....but i get the feeling that the steppe seen in the entire nair caste cannot be attributed in total to nambuthiri brahmin/ tamil/ tulu brahmin admixture....i will try and post a villlakathila nair( barbers among nairs) sample if possible, although i feel that may be different !
Similarly the Malappuram muslim nmonte run here suggests he is derived from entirely local sources, he does not seem to have recent MENA ancestry ( although i am not sure about Iberomaurasian)..in all probability nair/nambuthiri forefathers.

Great job actually. Arains seem to be the most BMAC shifted populations among NWers. The amount of their IVCp is equal to other NWers, so I assume no recent admixture from East Iranics. Their BMAC to Steppe proportions are similar to Kabul Pashtuns.

Arain MA is the most BMAC shifted NWer. He's like an Indus shifted Kandahar Pashtun. I think Pegasus is right here; some of these Indo-Aryans need loads of Mongolia TUK001 (70% BMAC) like source.

    Target: Arain_MA
    Distance: 2.4496% / 0.02449579
    52.2 IRN_Shahr_I_Sokhta_BA2
    31.2 UZB_Dzharkutan1_BA
    15.2 RUS_Srubnaya_Alakul_MLBA
    1.4 NPL_Chokhopani_2700BP

    Almost 50% BMAC with BA3.

    Target: Arain_MA
    Distance: 2.4775% / 0.02477473
    47.2 UZB_Dzharkutan1_BA
    39.2 IRN_Shahr_I_Sokhta_BA3
    13.4 RUS_Srubnaya_Alakul_MLBA
    0.2 NPL_Chokhopani_2700BP

I agree with Coldmountains/Pegasus that some Indo-Aryans were literally from the crop of the most BMAC shifted groups like Kandahari Pashtuns. IA Indo-Aryans seem to be way too much diverse.

Can you include the 15 sample Punjabi Jatt average in your runs (I can send it if you don't have it)? I have some other relevant coordinates can share as well via pm as well.
