    I think Gujarati mainly being IranN and AASI, with some Steppe works for most of us here. It wouldn't explain much.

    With Gujaratis being higher IranN than what Bengalis need, the WestEurasian is preferring that extra straight Sintashta. I would probably add in Ror-like pop to soak up Steppe. Note that Burmese might not be the best candidate due to it containing South Asian as well. But that model is useful in showing how west Indian component(low Steppe, high AASI/IranN) like Gujarati are not suitable for modeling Eastern South Asians like Bengalis' west Eurasian.

    Yeah, I get better fit using Ror and Irula and some east asian like populations, since these groups have lower IranN

    As I suspected, my V3 kit scores differently than my prior kit. Certainly more of a NW shift. Mystery han signal. Lesss AASI. Stronger affinity to (87%) GBR/Gujarat Brahmins on Nmonte at least from this model.

    A run of a few other South Indian Brahmins

    I'll keep trying to run models.

    This model could work from UP through mid caste South Indians. Probably need to add AA for tribal heavy, Chokhopani for more East Asian instead of Han.

    Slightly higher Han, less AASI, same steppe. It's reflected in this model as well:

    "fit": 1.897,

    Again higher east Asian, higher AASI, but steppe is constant

    Edit: meant to write same steppe
