    Welcome to the forum!

I haven't seen Central asian pop up among south indians on the ancestrydna test. Maybe other south asian members can confirm.

I think you have the lowest south indian percentage among the south indian members here iirc. Its interesting that you get ap brahmin at number 20 lol and you get bihari muslim, marathi/kannada/bengali brahmins pretty high up. You also have quite a bit of caucasian for a telugu brahmin, since they tend to get more euro than caucasian. Can you post your two way mixed mode population list as well.

    Here's mine for comparision.

One parent from Krishna, other from Cuddapah/ Kurnool. Where's gujarati coming from? I never heard of nihali or hakki pikki... googling them. Is this Harappa tool correct?
Nice you have ancestry from coastal andhra and seemandhra. Gujarati-a is basically patel sample and patels are similar to telugu mid castes like Reddys but with higher baloch. So you are a quarter midcaste telugu shifted compared to low caste dravidian populations. You said your paternal grandfather might be of a different origin so maybe this is where that comes in. And yeah imo harappa is quite a good calc for south asians imo. It has many reference populations and as you can see you get a very low distance to the kamsali group. nihali, hakkipikki and many other groups in your oracles are all low caste groups in southern india. Kamsali is from andhra so it matches pretty well.

Thank you. I know its off topic here as well (I can't pm you yet), but do you by any chance know about Y haplogroups in India? Whilst I know that among the R1a folk in India L657 and Y40 are quite common, mine (Z2123+ Y47+ Y46+) seems to be rare. Do you have any information about this subclade, its distribution, migration path, etc? Thanks.

L657 , Z2123 and Y40 are major R1a subclades in India with L657 being most common followed by Z2123 with Y40 somewhat rare but still found all over India. In the south L657 and Z2123 seems to be equally strong but in North especially in gangetic plains L657 is much more common.

Your results look typical for a Brahmin. South Indian Brahmins have a northern origin, with some local admixture and your results seem to reflect that.

Can someone tell me which is the most accurate way to get my Y-chromosome haplogroup from Ancestry raw data ? And also, I don't see the K14 Ancient populations option in GED match. Where can I find these ?
