Bookmarked! I enjoy the "step by step" format and the substantial discussion of the implications of the modelling results. Keep it up!

Doesn't load for me, but the main link to your blog does. Interesting about the Dravidians. I thought they had been voted out for IVC.

Some of the isolated hill tribals ie Paniya could have Austroasiatic input. May not work as well to model caste groups.

Irula seem to work well. We'll see what the Harappa results say.

Chad, I really think Gujarati Patels or Velamas would work better as a Harappan proxy than Irula, who I think have excess AASI Hunter-Gatherer admix

Would it take you long to test?

I really don't think so. What makes you think that Harappans have to be way more Iran/Turan-related than AASI? Velamas are essentially Irula, with some Shahr I Sokhta excess. There was a large movement of late BMAC and related groups into the Indus region in the late BA, so I think using anyone from this area now is going to get results like this and not reflect the early or mature Harappan. Velamas may also have some IE admixture, as even Sintashta admixture is at the standard error, using SIS, Irula, and Sintashta.
