Not that i am aware of. I dont get Madagascar on dna tests nor i have malagasy matches. Plus, i have a strong melanesian trace. Malagasies hardly score melanesian.

    Hi Hurricane,

Here's a thread with other Northern and Eastern-Africans who've also noted minor non-negligible ASI/East-Asian related ancestry:
Ancient Eurasia K6 - Deducing Traces of Back to Africa Migrations

This was just an observation with ADMIXTURE but the same can be noticed with nmonte, myself and family members keep getting minor affinities to East-Asians/ and Austro-Asiatic speakers.

It might be related to paleolithic back-to-Africa migrations, since these regions underwent massive demographic changes in the neolithic.
Perhaps the missing connection will be found when more paleolithic samples are uncovered in North-Africa and SW-Asia.
    .... .. I have spoken."

Then why does oceanian show up on commercial tests which are focused on recent ancestry?

I'm guessing there's several factors but ultimately the ancestral clusters from these companies are limited to the reference samples at their disposal. It's likely these East-Asian affinities are appearing on "recent" admixture runs due to lack of African samples from regions exhibiting this affinity -- so they're therefore unable to bucket the alleles within a modern African cluster (Saharan, Berber, NW-African, North-African, Maghrebi...).

Out of curiosity, have you been tried the Chinese testing company GeseDNA? Here's a post from years back. According to their modern calc, I'm 2.6% South-Asian:

Since you have Berber ancestry, and my ethnic group migrated from the lake Chad basin, I wonder if there might be an ancient Central-Saharan connection?

The one possibility i can think of is maybe distant Malagasy ancestry, but i think its most likely an ancient component as @NiloSaharan said.

I'm still getting SEA and Oceanic people on G25, so i dont think its because of the size of their database. Furthermore, the other people of my community, dont score SEA/Oceanian nor the South Asian that i get from my maternal side.
GeseDNA is terrible, it is not worth mentioning.

My MtDNA is from the Lake Chad Basin, the connection is here.

No. Malagasy people hardly score Melanesian. I dont score Malagasy on any test anyway. Somebody told me that i may have an ancestor from Western Indonesia.

Very odd -- has to be something extrememly ancient, from the paleolithic prior. It's sporadic but it's evident among family members within my database; ancient Vanuatu and Tonga affinities:

I cross checked recent East-African forager samples but couldn't find similar affinities among them -- so perhaps it was likely derived from pops within and around the Lake-Chad basin/Central-Sahara? I do recall Iberomaurusian samples being modeled with minor East-Asian like ancestry without explanation.

Interestingly, these affinities drop slightly when Mesolithic and Neolithic Welsh samples are added for family members:

-- out of curiosity, do you have any affinities towards "Wales_Meso" and "Wales_N" samples using unscaled g25 cords?

Since we only have "Dinka" as a reference for our Nilotic ancestry, and since ancestral Dinka pops were supposedly geographically bound to the eastern-sahara, I wonder if this affinity's leakage is in anyway related from ancient western trans North-African/Iberian migrations? It might have to do with L3x2b in modern Iberia, I'm guessing the same for L3e5 since it's common among certain Berbers pops?
