    Uploaded 23andme V5 to MYHERITAGE:

    Scandinavian: 74.5%
    East-European: 14,7%
    Iberian: 4,7%
    Italian: 4%
    Japanese: 1,1%
    Eskimo/Inuit: 1%

    I think Myheritage + 23andme have a hard time put out my ancestry since I am mixed. The East-European I have no clue about.
    The Japanese and Inuit would be Siberian heritage.

    Ciao Nino90,
    You've already done a thorough Y-test, or you're still left with the results of 23andme. We of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines still hope that you decide positively ... your test would be very indicative ...

    Hello again. No I still just use my old 23andme V5. Did convert it to V3 and did also order a Familytree autosomal DNA for my father. But not Y-dna test. What test did you recommend in the other thread? Not Big-Y from FTDNA?

    I would take MyHeritage results with a grain of salt. Other users have had similar inconsistencies. I know they lumped my Scandinavian into an unexplained 14.5% Irish, Scottish and Welsh. It's also odd they didn't pick up any Finnish since your other results all have varying percentages of Finnish.

    Yes. Much better than 23andme + Myheritage. I guess so. The Middle-eastern is like you wrote West Middle-east.
    Prob old or from the possible Etruscan migration from Near east into Tuscany.

    The strange thing is that my father only scored 4% West Middle-east and lower Iberian (14%) and South-East Europe (28%).

    My trace results were 4% Siberian + Asian + Native american.

    Yes you are so right. I think from all diffrent calculators and site you can upload your Raw-data on - Myheritage gave me least accurate results. It looks like its most for commercial and a larger audience with little or no clue about population genetic + history

    Very interesting. I'm not sure what to think of FTDNA. I had posted my results in another thread. The strange thing for me is that I have 15% Iberian at 23 and Me and only 0.8 Italian. Yet FTDNA gives me 19% Southeast Europe and 7% East Europe. When I transferred my data to DNA Land, that 7% East Europe turns into Balkan, which is in the southern Europe category there. I also received 4% Middle East (Asia Minor) and >2% West Middle East. I think your Northern Italian must be read as Iberian. However, I'm not sure why there's such a difference for me between both sites.

    Ciao Nino90,
    I do not remember exactly what I have advised you in the other discussion, but I think I have advised you the same thing that I recommend to all the people / friends who have tested at 23andme and therefore have obtained a little detailed result regarding the masculine line (Y).
    In my opinion, in your case (I remember you were R1b-L2+,Z49-,Z367-) the most cost-effective solution is to run the test called "R1b-U152 Superclade Panel" at yseq.net. Indeed:
    a) Its cost is $ 99 (+ about $ 5 for the kit);
    b) In the future you can perform other tests on specific snp for a modest sum: each snp costs $ 18;

    The alternative is FTdna but:
    a) The specific panel for L2 which is called "R1b - L2 SNP Pack" (it is very similar to that of Yseq) costs $ 119;
    b) As I understand it, before executing the L2 panel, you must perform at least the Y37 test, the cost of which is $ 169;
    c) Each additional test on the singles snp has a double cost ($ 39 each snp).

    Obviously you can also choose to perform "Big Y" by FtDna but its cost ($ 449) has very often scared a lot of my friends.
    In my opinion it is better an egg (sure) today than a chicken (maybe) in a year ...

    Dear Nino90 decided, we of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines are very curious to know which clan your family belonged to ...
