Gedmatch Harrapaworld and oracle results for gujarati patel

    Hey guys,

I recently just received my 23andme results, which basically came back with 100% south asian. I decided to explore this further by going to gedmatch and trying out the calculators there. Please see my results below for the harrapaworld calculator. Are these typical results for a Gujarati Patel? Also can someone explain to me what Gujarati B is?

Hmmm interesting, these are atypical. Could you give me your Kit number so I can play around with your admixture? I'm also Gujju Patel. Are you Leva or Kadva?

My kit # is CV9594746 . I'm actually not sure which one Iam! I'm using the genesis gedmatch website since my 23andme kit is v5.

Someone else might be better suited to answer this, but they are indicative of a AASI or AANI shift

We don't have too many Gujju Patels on here m8. I think you're our 3rd one. There is a Gujju average, but that isn't the same as a Patel average. We're a bit different than the average Gujju. Endogamy within Leva and Kadva Patels has caused a definite genetic footprint to occur. We've yet to get down to the bottom of it. I'm the only self identified Leva Patel on here.

Shows you have higher West Asia admixture but not fully Gujjar may be some Meghwal like tribal. If you have G25 coordinates we can isolate it better. If you have Leva like mix it shows up as Caucasian like Georgian or Abhkasian in the mixed mode.Instead Kanjar shows up.

Wow thatís interesting , itís unfortunate that the paid services donít break down further. I guess all we can do is wait until more reference populations pop up , I would like to see more Gujarati results just to see the variation , it seems like I donít have the average results that are associated with a typical Patel.
